How Can I Participate?

There are many ways to get involved! We value interdisciplinary connection, so whether you’re in science, tech, the arts or just curious, there are many opportunities available.

Hackathon participants get in for free, as do volunteers, otherwise, please purchase a ticket via eventbrite.

Below are various ways you can participate:

As a scientist

Attend in the audience and interact with hackathon participants, using your expertise to provide them with background and inspiration for their projects. Even if you can’t come in person, send us an email and let us know about the main challenges you face in your research in the field of human eating behavior, or visions you have of ways to address them, and we’ll pass it along to our hackers. Also, feel free to get in touch if you have innovative research that you’d like to present.

As a hacker

You’ll be a core part of the event. Apply to our hackathon and use your passion and skills to help create solutions to the challenges faced by scientists in the field.

As a sponsor

We are looking for sponsors of various sorts: financial, food and drink, hardware/prizes/APIs for the hackathon, etc. We are able to offer a number of benefits to our sponsors including promotion on the website, social media, programming, as well as booths at the event. It is a great way to get your name out amongst those in the field, and also to scope talent from amongst the hackathon participants. If interested, please get in touch!

As a technology-innovator

If you’re in the tech field but not interested in participating in the hackathon this time, you can still join the audience and interact with the hackers, helping them with inspiration for their projects or scoping talent. Also, if you have a piece of technology that you’d like to demo, let us know.

As an artist/designer

We have art grants available, apply by August 10th! Designers would also find their skills much appreciated in the hackathon.

As a volunteer

Help us make the event a success and get free entry! A great opportunity for students to network within the field. Use the contact form to let us know if you’re interested.
